QL2, you got ripped. I bought a brand new (not reman) Motorcraft starter at Advance for about $65. ANY new or reman starter for these trucks will have the threaded post on the solenoid and a patch kit to splice to the OE wiring. There was a service advisory from Ford that prompted this move by starter rebuilders and manufacturers. A printed copy generally comes with the starter, but dunno if it's in ALL brands. I did get one with my Motorcraft, though. One of these days, I'll find it again, and scan it for posting in the gallery.

and my garage is housing my other truck .....
I have it bolted up and one of the wires attached, fingers went numb couldnt get the small one, Ill go back and try to get it done in about 20 minutes .... It's supposed to get colder out tonight
I'll try not to ... lol Im going out again right now, see what I can do ... probably be back in about half an hour or so
should be better soon, I sold my truck in the driveway, so, as soon as its picked up the truck in my garage will take its place, and the newer one can be parked in there... lil warmer ... (no wind) lol
everything is atached and it turns over, but it wont start,
plugs and wires look new, block heater is plugged in
its been sitting for a little while, since 2006 I think (last registered in 06) , so it could just be old gas ..... right?
