400 valve seals
I have a 79 f150 with a 400. I recently rebuilt the motor with new bearings rings cam lifters and a complete fel pro gasket kit. I have been driving it, trying to break it in, but it still smokes really bad. I pulled off the valve covers and found that the valve stem seals were all pushed up to the top, and not sealing at all. I pushed them back down but the engine still smokes badly, does anyone have any suggestions on how to keep them down where they are supposed to be?
