engine misfire oil in plug

engine misfire oil in plug

Engine is misfiring, cylinder 6 is the one. I pulled out the plug and its loaded with oil. Cleaned it cleared code and it happened again 20 minutes later pulled the plug again it was the same thing full of oil. Anyone with the same problem, not sure of where I should start first to fix it.

Is the oil fouling the plug at the electrode or is it wicking up under the boot and shorting the plug ?

could be a cracked head, but more then likely it's leaking into the plug hole from a leaky valve cover gasket....

A friend of mine told me it could be a leaky valve seal in that cylinder and to try changing the oil and replace one of the quarts with a quart of mystery oil. The seal may be dried out and it may help re-seal it. I hope so that would be nice. My truck has 105,000 miles and a 4.6L, so maybe I will luck out.

I'm not sure where the plug is getting fouled, the oil is all over the threads mostly and the electrode also has oil on it. Alot of it is on the threads though.
