the 96 F250 has 85428 on it but im assuming that the previous owner didnt drive it much cuzz of the 460 getin 11-12 mpg's no rust either
the 92 F150 has 147k on it but the 302 only has about 35,000 and the trans about 45,000 on them its getin rusty around the rear wheel wells and the core suports shot. this is the hardest worked to death truck ive ever seen it was our farm truck for many years would haul a ton or more barn lime every other week, pull loaded chopper boxes and hay wagons often i even towed one of my semi tractors 28 mile to a repair shop once. "show no mercy its a ford itll take it" is what ive aways said
My 1995 4 door bronco has 28,000 on the odometer. But it also sits in the garage and only trailers to shows. If it ever gets to 30 k I would be shocked.
I have a 96 F150 XLT 4X4 SC 5.8L auto. It has 14,000 original miles. I bought it last week. I did have to get new tires Friday. The originals where starting to dry rot. The truck was garage kept and looks brand new. I sold my 2006 F150 4x4 to my parents and bought this one. I have no regrets. I never had anyone commint on my 06 at the gas station (everyone has a nice looking late model). I have been stopped and questions asked almost every time I stop anywhere with this truck.
108,617.3 as of now. The numbers are out of line so I know it has turned over. How do I know it has not turned over more then once, you may ask? Easy. I bought the truck private party and when I got home, I went to www.carfax.com and paid the $20.00 to run the report. It listed the mileage every time the truck changed hands and gave me a good history of where it had been.
Mine started out as a cab/chasis in Canada and was sold to the California D.O.T. They used it for twelve years and sold it with under 80,000. Then it bounced to three others before I got it. Unless something drastic happens (gas at $12.00/gal) I plan on keeping it a long time.
Hello y'all. I inherited my father-in-law's 89 F150 lariat last year. It only had 15,000 on it when I began driving it. Now it has 22,000. But because it had not been driven much I had to replace all shocks, front calipers, and several other items such as alternator and battery. I think I'm ahead of it all now. It actually still has the original tires on it and only a couple of scratches in the bed (that I have put in since I use it as a truck). The exhaust began to fall off six months after I began to use it and now it has a 3" single from Gibson in stainless. When I speced out the truck and Dad bought it I was driving an 88 that I went to 188,000 before I traded it. Never did I think I would be driving his pride and joy. I tried to get him to order the guage package and the cab lights when he bought it. I have put in a tach package, but now the fuel guage doesn't work. It may have the sending units corroded from sitting around. Hopefully this summer I'll be able to pull them out and check it out.
Hi clerk
I would replace those tires because of their age. Old tires can fail suddenly. At least check the sidewalls and between the treads for cracks. Keep an eye on those vacuum and other soft lines too.
