Joe I have not heard anything bad about Silverline. Grand Rock is probably the most popular stack kits around here but not sure why.

I'm wanting to add them too but dont want to spend the money. My plan is to go to the junkyard get a set of tips off a truck and have a local amish welding shop make me a y pipe

I am building my own setup from scratch this time as well. The old stacks were junk! T-pipe was ugly and restrictive, chrome was pitted, stained and rusting. Just getting 6 inch pipe from napa and 5 inch to build the t-pipe.

Might be kinda hard, but it depends on how many truck bone yards you have around.

miller, we have r.l. jackson right in rising sun. he has tons of semi's but wouldnt even talk to me when i told him i wanted a set of stacks off of them, i am going to try calling and tell him i need a set for my semi and see what he says. he has TONS! i have a bunch of 5 inch pipe at the house, various bends and elbows. really all i need to finish is the stacks themselves but just a pair of stacks (stainless) is over 300 and i can get the ready kit for 495? just seems easier to me. but if i could get a used set off the semi then i'd be set, already got 2 90's ready to get cut and weld them together for my "T" all i need is stacks and a weekend....lol

Stacks will be pretty hard to comeby at the junkyard. They are an expensive commodity. Seems like there is always a use for them unless they are complete junk. Good luck.

If there are no used stacks around you might try finding a new pair that is being sold from a truck shop as scratch and dent or blemish. Sometimes the bad spot is real small or might even be on a part that would get cut off on you install anyways
