I have a slight problem guys. I can't find anywhere that open today that carries grade 8 bolts. I need 2 more for the front of the leafs. The superduty leafs have 5/8 eyes. Ours are 9/16. All u ca. Get is regular steel 5/8 today. Would they hold up for a couple of days?
Well I ended up finally finding a place that had them. A local Ace hardware I never go to. The had a huge selection of different grade bolts. Almost two hours of searching for bolts I got back to the shop and finished things up. After spending the entire day cutting, grinding and welding I was finally ready for the test drive home. All I can say is WOW. What an amazing difference, roads I used to avoid I can now drive without hitting my head of the roof. If any of you guys are debating doing this, go for it. You'll ask yourself why you waited so long.
All I need now is a new set of shocks, something ive been putting off for awhile. Both my front and rears are nearly fully extended, they need to go. A nice set of Bilsteins and i'll be all set.
Oh, and of course some pics in the gallery. I'll take more of whatever you want if you need. Just ask.
Looks good!! Got that on my list of mod I really want to do!! How far forward dod you move the brackets from where they were before? WHat did you do with the bumper?
TJ, the bumper went back the exact same way it was before. Take a look at the pictures. I angled the front rsk bracket so I didnt have to move the bumper mounts. The bracket is angled forward about 3 inches.
