for anyone debating buying an EDGE unit, i thought i would share this bit of info..... i bought mine almost a year ago, and i was having troubles with it in the mornings..... i would use my remote starter, and about 7 out of 10 times it would have a lit up, but blank screen. so, i called EDGE, and they said just to send them the module, and they would "take care of me".... well, about a week later, i had an entirely BRAND NEW unit!! box, cable, pod and everything. they gave me the newest, updated, re-designed unit without question.
i have heard some badmouthing about EDGE with slow customer support, but i have never felt they were less than great.
just thought i would share.

i guess the software that was installed was sensitive to voltage drops.... so when the remote starter turned on the accessories to start, the EDGE also started up... then a couple second later when the starter engaged, the EDGE wouldnt be fully started, so it would dump...... the new software isnt supposed to do it. we will see !!

Aw man lucky. I am trying to figure out how to get one of those newer pods. My trucks battery was dead yesterday from the edge popping on. I wonder if something is wrong with it. There customer service is top notch and the Edge is awesome. I don't know what more people could ask for.
