No, in his case they weren't stock injectors, however anybody that runs the ITP RR kit runs the risk of taxing the stock pump to where you will lose pressure. I had just the stage 1 injectors and running tunes that were equilivant to what everyone runs with stock injectors(I don't like seeing smoke all that much) and I wasn't seeing a lose like he was with fuel pressure, but I was still taxing it.
I plan on taking my truck to the dyno today. I want to try a couple different tunes. Is it ok to load the different tunes on the dyno or would the truck need to drive around and adjust to the tune?
I can't speak on that because I was just going to have Matt wright a dyno tune and use that for the 3 pulls. The tranny would be what I would be concerned about though, doing those pulls and not having had a chance to learn the new shifting patters, but I could be wrong.
It's a tune that is specifically written for when you do dyno pulls. It's in theory supposed to be the most efficient program to help accurately gauge what your going to do on the dyno. Most dyno tunes are locked in 5th gear and supposed to do your loads after you hit 20 mph. Not exactly the best tune to actually drive with, but like I said, in theory the best tune to accurately gauge your truck on the dyno.
NP, glad I could help. Have a quick question for you adambomb. I noticed that you have bigger injectors and I assume by racing gaskets you mean the hypermax, I was wondering are you planning on a turbo upgrade to match fuel with air and if so what turbo where you thinking?
im not really sure what kind of head gaskets i have. the owner of the performance diesel shop i got all my work done said they were top of the line "unbranded" racing/sled pulling gaskets. i asked him about getting the Hypermax because i thought those were the best but he told me that Hypermax were not test with studs and they don't warreny if you use ARP Studs and these unbranded ones were better anyways. so thats why i got these "racing gaskets".
im not planning a new turbo anytime soon. i just got a new stock one under warenty at 99k miles (3k miles ago) because my old turbo was overboosting. my truck was blowing white smoke and they replace the EGR Cooler/Valve and Oil Cooler. they said my head gaskets were fine so i believed them. at 100,100 miles my heads blew (small cracks in both heads) and even though i had no mods except an exhaust they said i was out of warrenty. so thats why i got new heads/gaskets and put the ARP's in. then the shop tested my injectors and said they needed to be rebuilt so i got them rebuilt and bigger nozzels. then they said i would need gauges for sure so i got guages and put the FASS in to keep the new injectors healthy. then they tested my intercooler and it was very clogged and said i needed to replace and because of the injectors i should get the Banks to keep the temps down. pretty much sucked putting all this money in my truck but now i love how it runs and with my new SCT and custom tunes it runs great.
if my stock turbo ever blows i will probably upgrade to a stage 1 or 2 from Spartan. idk actually, i really wasn't trying to sooop up my truck but thats how it happend. im only 20 years old and don't really have a job so i can't keep spending money.
right now my truck is perfect for what i do with it, but it still does this thing when i let off the throttle the RPM's stick at 1000 and it keeps driving instead of slowing down. So lately i haven't been driving much and am just trying to save up a little so when i take it into Ford they can fix it.

I wish I could claim the same type of excuse, but no good on that. I'm taking my gilfriend to north carolina and the very first thing that we are doing is going to Matt's to have a 62 mm turbo put in the ole girl. Don't want to go much bigger then that because I still have to haul my horses, and they don't need to feel all that power that the ole girl can put out. In fact that tow tune I have for the horses almost has the girl putting out stock horsepower, but with the injector's she still hauls a whole lot better then stock.
hard to say these days.. i've got over 11 grand in my truck to get where i'm at ,
of course a bad tranny is holding me back,
but my buddy has a BONE STOCK --03 and just put an SCT on last week and dynoed 479/829 with a stock truck. his only mods are exhaust and intake and gauges.. i dont know what to believe anymore this really pisses me off, because i ran out of fuel at 470HP w/bigger injectors, and this guy has stock stuff...
to answer your question, no, my injectors are not stock.. but seeing **** like this makes me wonder why i even bothered buying all these extra parts.

First off, how sure are you that it's stock stuff? If it really is stock stuff and he is pushing that much, I think he is sacrificing longevity to try to push what he can get on the dyno. I could be wrong, but that just seems to be an awful lot for just the usual three upgrades that most people do, without having something else on there. Also what kind of dyno was it? Was it showing what you normally get or was it generous to your readings as well?

that is why i'm so pissed... yes i can guarantee his -03 is bone stock internally, no studs yet... i find those numbers hard to believe, and out of 5 passes that was the high one..
his next highest one was 421hp/630tq, and the other 3 were even lower. He did not have a dyno lock file, and i can only assume this pass was made in overdrive or something like that. the truck has 40" tires and 4.88 gears also...
but it was a dynojet dyno, and when i was on it a few weeks ago, it was pretty much spot on. although most of the runs made yesterday seemed to be a tad high, a guy w/an edge juice made over 400 HP ???
