Hey guys i have a '97 and i wanted to ask you all if you knew how many pounds of pressure your hpop's are putting out stock. Mine at idle only shows around 580 but when i am drive at about 60 it only shows to be at around 1000. Is my pump bad and if so, I have been thinking about the 17 degree hpop that i believe tj's link shows.

You need to make sure there are no internal oil leaks first..Or you can dead head the pump with a guage in line , that will tell you exactly what you have ...
Mine idles around 650 ,,
did you check at WOT ?...
Also , how many miles on the oil?...
What was your IPR DC % at idle ?...

Yep 5w30 syn.
If we had a cold start no plugin competition. The van would be hard to beat.
Best yet -15*F. Get in and drive away. This from an all night cold soak.
That's like the units we have on military trucks. We call em arctic heaters. they are great on a timer or remote so you don't have to fiddle with plugging it in, but i think i would rather pay the electric bill and plug/unplug everynight than sacrifice the fuel. at my new job, well it's not quite new anymore, but anyway we have the army's new forklift here in our shop that has one of these coolant heaters that uses a burner.
oh yeah, cold start competition without plugging in...that's cheating using your espar.
those pressure sound pretty normal. your idle is right on. cruise varies alot. Peak pressure is the key to check your pump and performance. But unless your setting a CEL with a P1211 then I wouldn't worry about it at all.
at a 60 mph cruise mine holds approx 1000-1200 psi with little to no load on flat ground, wide open they should have no problem sustaining over 2500 psi but not exceeding 3000 psi.

Didn't you just post about changing your pump?....
If he wants to Know what is happening with his pump ,, he needs to isolate it
OK, Hold it...Shut off your engines it's SCHOOL TIME! Where is everyboby getting these HPOP readings in the hundreds from and does all of you have a gauge inside the truck to monitor this?
