help after mod please
I was pretty impressed with the way my truck was running after the stage 1's so decided to try the walmart bag mod. wrapped my K&N filter up good and tight with my best friends-rebar tie wire and duct tape so it would seal real good. started it up and romped on it.
It made a real strange noise-sorta quiet then
POP! BANG WHAM
Then it made lot's of smoke!!!
sTILL HAD THE HOOD OPEN CUZ THAT TURBO COMIN' APART PROLLY WOULDA PUT A HOLE THE SIZE OF A BASEBALL THRUGH IT
Theres oil all over the ground and bunches of little broken metal pieces
What should I do?

Well you have accoplished two very important things. First you destroyed that K+N so you can get real filter now! And you have gotten rid of your stock turbo to make room for a D66 or a H2E. And if you really lucky you split a piston so you can do a full engine built and drop some serious coin on lots of go fast and hold together goodies!!

I did this last week and mine runs fine! Smokes alittle and feels alittle slugish, but it did not blow-up. Sould I remove it before it is too late or is this a freak thing?

thats cuz you had no load on the turbo intake impeller it same Idea if you cover up a shop vac hose the motor races up same with your turbo. well time for upgrade right? The stage 1's are limited to your old turbo and the hpop now you can put an extreme turbo on there. p.s. That really sucks literally. too bad the bag didn't rip

Anyone ever try the wallmart bag over your head mod? Heard it works great but Iam not sure if I should make cut outs for my eyes. Please let me know.

except I take my tie wire and duct tape and hook it to my garage rafters. That way when I pass out and fall down- it removes it automatically LOL

i don't even know what to say to all of that. you guys pretty much covered it. oh wait, you could stack this with that one a few weeks ago about hooking up a windshield washer bottle full of oil and spraying it into the exhaust.
