1996 351 hard starting
I read a previous post about a V-10 not wanting to start. The reference to the IAC valve being the problem sounded logical. When my '96 351 is cold it has to crank a while then will idle at 300-400 for a few seconds then jump up to about 1000 rpm. Warm starts seem to be fine. It just started doing this about 3-4 weeks ago. My dealer replaced the fuel pressure regulator and I've replaced the spark plugs. Neither helped. Does this sound like the same IAC valve problem? Where is it on my '96 351? And is this a part that NAPA/Auto Zone/Car Quest will have or is it dealer only? I've got 205,000 on this baby, bought it new and still love it.
