Thanks for the info old paint and phoneman.Haven't had much time to work on the truck since I last posted. I did take the the front part of the IAC valve off yesterday and it seemed to look ok. I guess I really need to dismount it from the throttle body and see what that looks like. I will try to unplug the connector first. How do I use the paper clip?
Keep us posted, and let us know what resolves your problem. It can't hurt for the rest of us to have a good piece of information about similar symptoms, and what was done that alleviated them.
When I start the truck, it does idle high, but it doesn't die. Every since I took the front piece of the IAC valve off, kinda cleaned it off with my finger, the idle hasn't fluctuated as much(just every now and then). I do want to check those codes soon and see where that goes.
