390 timing specs

390 timing specs
Does anybody have the timing specs for a 390 in plain english that a girl can understand? Trying to put mine back together and I'm to the point where I'd like to set my timing but I don't know what 6 degrees means and the old man's out of town for another two weeks. I'd like to have it done before he gets back. Please help!!

Sorry don't think this can be handled with a text message.
Do you have a timing light? Are you familiar with it's use? Setting the timing is a simple project that even a beginner can accomplish.
