'79 F100-starting problem, turned off and would not re start, no previous problems. Changed selenoid, good battery, not even a click, can't seem to find the problem, does not seem to be nuetral safety switch either. Any thoughts appreciated.

Use a test light or voltmeter to verifiy power to the s terminal on relay and power to the starter side of the relay. if those test good, voltage drop test the positive and negative circuits to verify good cables, if those are good, its probably a bad starter- have it bench tested or test it yourself on a bench with a battery and jumper cables.
Use a jumper wire from the positive lug on the solenoid to the S post on the new solenoid. If the starter turns the engine, look for ignition switch, connectors or the neutral start switch. If it dosen't turn over check battery cables and the starter cable. These can look OK but have corrosion under the covering. If the cables are good and it dosent turn over using the jumper check the starter.

Thanks William, I did the test and starter turns the engine, how do I check the neutral safety switch? I know where it is and where the wire plugs in. Can I just unplug to test? When ignition switch is on the gauge lights in the dash come on as normal. Is there a way to test the switch more? I've checked connections, etc. Any other way to test these.
Thanks
Ricky
