4x4 not working?

4x4 not working?
HI guys, When I shift into 4x4 on my 2000 Expedition 5.4L I hear a clicking sound coming from the dash, it sounds like a relay click, anyway the 4x4 light doesnt come on right away it takes like 5-10 secs to come on is this normal?
When the light finley comes on I can feel the 4x4 working.
