engine block heater plug
well i had a problem with my engine block heater not working i found my problem was that one of my wires connecting to the plug was broke off so i spliced a new extension cord and cut it to the length i wanted... the stock cord was a little short i made it hang out a little bit. hopefully it worked im gunna check it a little later and see if the cord is warm so im hoping i did everything right

yea i agree.. this noise your suppose to hear is it that distinct its damn windy here in wisconsin and i cant hear nuttin that good should i still be able to hear it??? thanks for the help fellas

hmm i was lookin on ebay and they are selling it for the same price... at that price i can just go to the dealership and have it right away... the heater element is right above the oil filter and runs to the front of the truck?

hmm well after searching a little bit i mite put that LED light on my dash and connect it to my gpr and just use that instead of pluggin it in seems simple enuf to do and very cheap parts are only like 5 buck total at RS gunna pick that up tomorrow and do it... this will also save money on the electric bill

There are a great many that plugs thier trucks up every night with no problems. I didn't want to scare you into not using your block heater, only make sure your wiring is up to par. I don't like seeing post like Clifs, He was lucky it didn't do more damage than it did. A gfci may have helped. A good maintained cord should not cause any issues and help in cold weather. Glow plugs will do the job about starting the truck, but the block heater will give you a warm engine and warm cab sooner. So, If you need it, don't be afraid to use it. That's what it is there for.
