Block heater short out? Thats what I thought It was anyhow, still sucks big time sorry to hear that.

After looking at the wirers one was broke i guess thats what happend.Thank god that my step dad lives next door

Always plug into a GFCI with your block heater.

Clif, was that the original block heater cord? It looks longer than mine.

no problem..try to edit your first post..before you do..go into your gallery and open up the picture..right click and copy the pic..then click edit and right click and past it in..it should work...

Man that looks bad....I guess at least you didn't loose the whole truck. I just put a new cord on my block heater cause one wire broke right at the plug....guess I should consider myself lucky.

Can somebody tell me where the other end of the plug goes to on the truck and if it is tied in to the 12volt wireing i havent started it yet i wanted to make sure that it wouldnt mess with the computer or other electrical componets?

you can un hook there to..its the orange cord above the oil filter

It is not connected to the 12volt system at all. Should be ok to drive your truck.
