I have a 73 460 that I am swapping into a 1960 f100. The front pulley on the crankshaft has 3 grooves for belts. It is huge. I need more clearance between the front of the motor and the frame crossmember. Did ford make one that only has two grooves or anything that doesn't stick out that much? If so, what are they found on? This motor came out of a marquis. The fanbelt brackets are huge and are a nightmare. I would like to find simplier and cleaner looking brackets. I only have the power steering pump and alternator to turn. Any ideas? Thanks for the help.
Yes they did.
You probably won't find them on Big T-Bird's & the Merc Marquis',Continental's though.
These cars had so many things with pulley's on them they needed the third groove.
A truck is the best source.
I'm sure though that some parts interchange between motors for this application.
