I have a 2003 limited excursion I looked above starter I see two metal tabs and a hex bolt

All you need is the cord..

The heater DOES NOT go into a freeze plug hole...

If you look in through the passenger side wheel well you can see it better than from under the truck..

Also you may already have the cord.. Look behind the bumper near the drivers side tow hook.. That is where they are tied up during manufacture..

all I have on my 2003 xcursion is two metal tabs and a Allen head bolt

I did look in fender and wheel space but can not see the exact spot to see is the block heater cord ran to drivers side

There's nothing on the drivers side related to this.

The block heater is above the starter, hard to see unless you remove the starter or the passenger side fender liner. The cord runs up the passenger side to the front bumper, where the plug end is typically hidden behind the bumper until its first pulled out.
