Any chance if one of you with a 6.2L that has a factory block heater could take a pic of where the heating element goes into the block ??
I installed a Autometer water temp gauge and need a spot for the send in unit....My truck didn't come with a block heater so I'd like to use that soft plug is what I'm thinking..
FYI if anyone is thinking of using one of these 46mm does not fit.....GlowShift will tell you it does but I can tell you it does not..
Of course I found this out on a Friday after I cut the upper rad hose to install it....It cost me $65 at the local Ford dealer to get another rad hose this afternoon....I had no choice having my truck down all weekend wasn't an option..
cheap ricer garbage is what that adapter is I should have known better....
I can't take a picture right now but it's on the drivers side right in the block. You probably just have a frost plug in that particular spot currently. It's probably a screw in factory block heater and not pressed in so it would be easy to just install a OEM one if the one you bought doesn't seem to work properly. You need to be under the truck to see it.
