Ive been having problems with the carb in the cold, probally the choke because once it warms up it runs good, it runs at about 750 rpm in idle in park and in drive about 650 but when its cold and coming to a stop it will shut off.
would putting a manual choke be better than guessing with an automatic?
well i went for guesse it couldnt hert starts up perfect and can adjust i think its better than geusing at were the spring would be, and i adjusted the carb to be hundred rpms more than at firstso like 850 at park, and 750 at drive we will se how it does tomorrow in the cold,
I also cut off both cats sounds mean i love it there was a metal tube with flexible hose going to the pipe after the 1st cat didnt know what it wasi said screw and cut it.

This sounds like an air tube for feeding fresh air from the air pump, into the system, to help the main cat burn off the pollutants.
If you still have the cat(s) in place, that tube is kinda important. The cat won't live as long without the fresh air being supplied to it. At least, that's the theory.
On the other hand, I had a cat on my truck for more than 10 years/100K miles, and the air pump never had a belt on it. The port for the air pump check valve was also plugged with a pipe plug. The cat never clogged, but it did start to rust the ends off, so I took it off a couple weeks ago, when I had a new exhaust system put under it.
Do you mean that you don't have any exhaust after the manifolds? These engines need a little back pressure to idle correctly. You don't need the cat or muffler but you should have some pipes 2.25 or 2.5 going back to at least the rear of the cab to idle below 1000 RPM.
