Hey guys this is my first post. I've been a member of this site for about a year now but anyway. I want to put propane injection on my 1996 F350. I want to know from you guys what i should go with? Thanks everybody
ya, ps 2000 its variable and has a de-activation switch that must be armed for it to come on, so wife dont jump in it on a rainy day to go get groceries and windup doin donuts everywhere lol. also full lifetime warranty i'm pretty sure, i checked into one, but didnt want the propane risks....
Well welcome to the FTE I agree there is a lot of risk with propane but I believe the Bully Dog kit is controlled by its own computer in the kit. Don ' t quote me on this own I will ask my friend which he has and post back to you
Hey Dave! the other reason is for better fuel mileage. The mods are Autometer Ultra-Lite Pyro, Boost, & Trans. Temp gauges, 3x4 downpipe to 5inch turn out Stacks, and for now Superchips tuner. Im gonna be putting in a DIY Tymar Intake this week.
PP has some dangerous sides that can destroy a motor. Predetonation is one. That can poke holes in cylinders and send connecting rods out the block in a big hurry. Its also best if you going to run PP to have a chip burned with that in mind. Plus think about cost of PP and the system. It will take along time to see any savings running it.
IMO there are more down falls with most PP kits than there are advantages. I have seem some good quality set ups, that were working very well but also took a lot of investment.
I have a propane kit I would sell you if you are interested. Its a Bull Dog system. It came on my truck so I dont know much about it except it does work. You would have to find your own tank(propane), but the rest of the system is there. It seems to work pretty good for me, and I know that mine dosen't have a computer of it own. It works off oil presure. Just send me a pm if you want some more info.
