Is there any fuel mileage increase when you put in Stage 1, 2 or 3 injectors. I know that they drop more fuel into the engine and that's where the power comes from, But I figure if you have more power you'll be pressing the skinny pedal a little less for the same speed. Just wondering.
I run stage 2's and get an average of 18-19 mpg (unless I put my foot into it alot). Less if towing, even less if towing real heavy. It mostly depends on how you drive it. If you put your foot into it they will flow alot of fuel, (kinda like a 4 barrel carb, drive it easy and good mileage, but if you get on it and open up the secondary's your mileage sucks). Hope this helps some.
I know that this is comparing Apples to Oranges but on both of my Harley's that were 88's and I had the 95" kit put in them my mileage increased mainly becuz you don't have to "Screw it on" as hard to get up to speed.
The down side is if your a torque addict..There goes the mileage.
My name is Roger and I'm a torque addict!!! If on a Harley, or truck!!
Normal driving the EGT's run max at about 600/700 (no intercooler yet, coming soon) boost 5-8 psi. Heavy towing I have to watch my EGT's on long hills (they will max out) boost will peg my gauge at 35 psi if I put my foot down and hold it for about 10 sec. Still running the stock HPOP.
wow, i am up in the air then if i want stage ones or 2's, i want max power but if the stage 2's bury past 35 i dont know.....imagine if you put a new hpop on there what it would do?
C00nhunter, I went with the II's after talking to Bean and telling them what I was doing and what I wanted. The II's flow the same cc's as the I's but with the larger nozzles they they flow more fuel sooner giving your more bottom end power, which was what I needed towing and pulling things on the farm.
Granted, like I said if I floor it and hold it on the floor the boost will peg, but I know guys that run I's and they do the same thing, it just takes them 5-10 seconds longer to peg. The only time I've done this is just messing around and showing off. In normal driving and even hot-rodding I don't have a problem with the boost because I can get all of the power I need with half or three-quarter throttle.
I would recommend the II's if you want low end power and fast throttle response.
Post up on here and ask other guy's that have II's what they think of them. I'd like to see the responses also.

Ok thanks for the replies. I think I'm gonna get some stage 1's for sure and if I can find some cheap stage 2's i'll get them. I have to wait a while, I'm about to drop $2k for a rebuild on my E4OD that's in the shop right now. I'm getting to support update, billet torque convertor, b and m shift kit and rebuild for around $2k. So once I recover from that blow to the wallet. I'll buy some injectors
