RV stereos

My older 5th wheel has an AM/FM casette stereo. It measures about 5-6 inches by 14-16 inches and is built into the face of a cabinet. ( It's not a car stereo.) Where could I find a CD player with roughly the same dimensions? I'm pretty sure it's a 12v system.

thanks.

you can find them on e-bay, but it`s hard to find cd players with those dimensions, one option is to to cut, stain & route the edge of a piece of wood to those dimensions(a little larger to go over the top) & then cut a hole for a car stereo to fit in, that would be cheaper & be a better sounding stereo. those things they put in there usually arent the best quality anyhow. my jayco 5er has the same setup & thats my plan.there all 12 volts.

Yep, that looks like mine. I'd like to upgrade to a CD player (for the kids) and an alarm function (for fishing/hunting camp).

That Audiovox AMW900 link is interesting. I hadn't realized these units were that expensive now.

I wonder if I can fix my turntable and 8-track player.

My trailer is only 4 years old but my stereo failed last year and I was unable to find one with the same dimensions anywheres. I bought a regular car stereo and am making an adaptor to shrink the opening to fit.
