Question for all you buyers out there.....

My warrantee doesn't activate until 30 days after vehicle purchase. (Not a Ford Warrantee) The dealer won't pay the $987.87 repair bill. Does this fall under Lemon law. The dealer should pay for the repairs, currect?

Why would the dealer repair for free? I don't see any liability on their part. If your original warranty has expired, Ford won't pay, so the dealer would eat it. Lemon law? No way.

That's a lot of bread for a coolant pump replacement. I would shop around on that. Or do it yourself. Either way it's on your dime.

Here's a picture of the water pump. It's a little different that the typical Ford or GM assembly. Looks easier actually. Except for getting to it.

From your symptoms I'm not convinced the temp sensor is bad. I would do the pump first and then see if the guage settles down.

Well thanks guys, the dealer ship already completed the work, I pick her up today. I was fighting with the warrante company about forking up the money for the repairs. The dealer is working with them to get this done. Normally I would just pay and leave it be but I'm PCSing (changing station) Monday and money is tied up. If they don't pay, I'll just cancel that warrantee and get a Ford warrantee.

Cool I got a LEMON. Customer Care Phone Numer

i am about to lemon my 450 08. radiator replaced 5 times. there were holes in the seams, etc. they said at first that it was a manufacturing defect of the line of that particular radiator and that a soft recall was in effect. it is in the shop again, and leaking from a totaly different radiator component. My truck has made the same exact sounds you described. if you bought yours new call for customer care 800-392-3673. they will research it an document it. I don't know if it may help to do this. It is still a ford agency. if it happens again get lemon law educated for your state.

So did the new water pump fix it? I have the same problem to the tee. I posted and was directed to look for my answer here. Thanks
