I called the guy tonight to make arangments to meet at his house to pick up and pay for the 86 Jag, and he sold it to another guy. After telling me that I could pick it up on Sat. and that would be fine. Just goes to show that a persons word is not as good as it once was. Really ticked me OFF. And I gave him a good piece of my mind. This kind of thing really gets under my skin. Sorry for the rant but I'm really P%#T off right know.
Rusty,
I've had the same experience, a real pi**er. I don't want to sound like a cliche but most of the time something else turned up, it's funny how it works.
Sorry About that Rusty , I dont really need to know the story the guy told you ,one excuse sounds like another to me,..but..I was wondering..whats the difference?? Please enlighten me ,I"m new here. Thanks!
well, and to make you feel better (maybe) I had a bad day too. laid a 32 y/o buddy to rest today. single dad of 2 & 6 y/o boys... one car accident. I've seen better days.

My only condolence is that you didn't have to make the drive to find out...I made a 4 hour trip to get there in time to watch "my" '31 A shell being loaded on a trailer.
I didn't give the guy a peice of my mind though, just a lawn-job when me and my buddy (big guy-I'd have never done it on my own) left.
did you tell the dude , { we'll be polite } , what you were gonna do with it ?? i've had a couple of deals do that as they knew due to me telling them what i was gonna do , and didnt want the vehicle in question end up parted out or turned into a consarned hot rod ..
Rusty, thats a bummer. On the bright side you have a little time and do not have to go out immediately and get another truck to put the the second IFS/IRS in!
I second 55 F350. I never share my vision much with a seller, unless I know 'em, and their position. Same thing applies in real estate. One of the few reasons I see a realtor being beneficial - buffering between emotionally tied sellers and buyers eager to "make" it theirs...
