i have the 5.4 in it. (not my choice im a diesel guy) the 6.4 i have in mind is being sold by a friend of a friend it consists of a brand new motor-0 miles...brand new trans-0 miles, the ecu and everything. still wont fit? damn i was hoping this was going to be easier.
No it will not be a easy job at all. You would be better off trading for a super duty with a diesel in it. Or going with the cummins conversion but that would still cost a good amount of money.
well eventually im going for the new 6.4l twin turbo, but the motor went on my truck so i figured while im in the market for a new motor ill look into diesels, i dont suppose the 7.3l is any easier. if not ill just get another 5.4 for now.
I really doubt the 7.3 would be any easy at all probably harder as it is bigger. I would just put a 5.4 back in it and concentrate on getting that new 6.4 truck you want.
Edit: I would love to be able to get a new 6.4 as well but I don't think it is going to happen for me any time to soon.
