89 f250

hey guys lookin at an 89 f250 custom with leaf springs all around
what are the chances its got a turbo in it

0 chance from factory, maybe current owner slapped one on though

well thats quite a dissapointment
how were the non turboed diesels ?

anything to brag about or pretty weak
think it would still sound good with a stack out the bed?

The diesel that came in the 89's was the 7.3L IDI. Not a lot of power in stock form, but it could take a beating and keep going. Probably the most reliable diesel ever put in a Ford.

Banks just recently discontinued production of the turbo kits for these trucks. Hypermax still has stuff available, so you can check them out if you want to slap on a turbo.
