WOW im speechless , No not really, but it sounded good. I love it. the power from the 80E tune has more seat of the pants feel than my superchips flashpaq on performance setting did. I have to wait till tomarrow for the higher stings when i put in my BTS valve body. I'll update when i get it done. Im pretty sure it will be a great update.
Been thinking about the BTS valve body myself. How much did you pay for that? I'm wondering if the combination of the VB and the tunes to match the VB would be 'too' crisp in the shifting department. Have considered just going with the DP alone. What were your thoughts in going with both?
I went with both and rode in a friends truck with both and the shifts are great . The V/B cost $225 plus a $150 core. I'll let you know tomarrow how they do in my truck
Thanks....I'd also like to hear how easy / hard the VB install is as well. Sounds pretty easy from what I hear but good recent install story would be nice.
VB is simple. I went with the John Wood VB from ITP diesel. There is only a hundred dollar core charge on that and it is $225. Both items complement each other VERY will and both jobs were SIMPLE! The vb did suck bc tranny fluid is dipping in your ear the whole time...but other than that...Great! Get a good inch lb torque wrench. You may be able to rent one from AZ if I am not mistaken. Do it right the first time and get both.
The shifts are superb, but I never had the DP w/o the vb. The shift into fourth is the definative (sp) when moving along, but still perfect! I was rather nervous about the vb turning the truck into a "thrashing machine" but I am not disappointed on bit.
"I give it a ten, ten, A *****IN TEN!!!"
BTW - Welcome to poor milage and . Smoky donuts rock!
Thanks....I'd also like to hear how easy / hard the VB install is as well. Sounds pretty easy from what I hear but good recent install story would be nice.
