My driver side door up and decided not to open anymore without hiting my fender, and now my door is creased like none other. It's almost like the hinges shrank 1/2 inch. Any idea what happened, the hinges look fine (except the bottom one which needs a new bushin, but its always needed one of those)?
Loosen your striker pin with a torx driver and readjust it until it lines up just right. Might fix your problem.
.
Thanks for the input, but I wish that could fix it, the striker is hittin right, but I can't get the door open, except when I pull real hard on it and it will pop past the fender. My poor lip on the door has been pulled out at least 3/4 inches
A friends '91 had the same problem as mine, the door will latch alright, but the door will snag the fender, so he just sawall'd the door to past the fender.

Ahh I see. So it sounds like you did knock the door out of whack when you were jumping the truck. Now sure where to go from there...
You probably need new hinge pins. It is more comon on doors that are long. But if the hinge pins wear out it will let the bottom of the door fall. I can lift the DS door of my Camaro up and down about 2 or 3 inches. When I close it, it hits the rocker panel and that lifts it so I have to close it kinda hard to get it closed all the way.
That's allright though cause I got some Firebird doors to put on it when it gets warm.
it might not be the door, check the alignment of your fender, a hard landing after a jump could jam the fender back, especially if u landed nose down, look at where your hood and fender meet at the front to see if the gap is still even across the front.
cuztom79 brings up a good point. Open your door and see if you can (wiggle) it up and down. You may have to use a "little" force to move the weight of the door up and down. You can also try to look at the gap at the top and bottom of the door. I know a Camaro has no (top part) to the door, but on my car you can see where the window used to hit and where it does now. If you can shake/wiggle your door up and down it's your hinge pins. If not look at your fender. Also look at you fender to see if it still looks "level". See if it looks pushed back too. If it doesn't look right over the tire, straight on the front end, or "level", it's probably the fender.
sounds like your fender pushed back on impact, or you might have broke your radiator support bushing, it is below the headlight, and the part that attaches your fenders and radiator to the frame. causing it to sag and hit the door. next time when you decide to jump something, drive your buddys truck.
Hmm, I guess I should have thought of the old story about the farmer who got a new mule, but he was so tall he was scraping his ears on the barn ceiling, so the farmer got out his jacks and was raising the barn, when his son stopped by and said "Dad, why don't you just dig the floor out a little". The Dad replied "because, its not the fact that his legs are too long, its the fact that his ears are big"
I am willing to bet that the fender slid back a little. When I get out of school, I'll check real careful.
Oh, and QL2, I figured I better use some terminology from your day.
