Exclamation Loud Noises!!!!

Well, My Buddy Has A Mid 90's F 150 Flare Side 4x4 With A 6 Banger. Here's The Deal. There Is A Loud Squeaking Noise Coming From What Sounds To Be The Back Of The Tranny Were It Connects To The Drive Shaft. All U- Joints Are Brand New. Anybody Got Any Ideas Before The Trannt Gets Pulled, Thanks In Advance!!!

The Sqweeking Started After He Drove It 8 Hours Back From Ohio. We Thought It Was The U-joints, Replaced With Brand New From A-zone. They Were Well Coated With Wd Before Installed. Same Issue After They Were Put In. It Sounds Like Its Coming From The Tranny But I Guess It Could Be The Wheel Bearings. Easy Enough To Check. I'll Keep You All Posted. Thanks Again For The Help.

did you grease the nipples on the u-joints? I have done that before and it results in that same annoying little squeek....

good luck

They didn't offer true CV sections like that on these trucks. At the very most they'd have a 2 piece shaft like mine.

If they don't have a grease zerk the best way to put them in is to pull the caps and put some grease in them, then put the caps back on. WD-40 would eat up any grease that was in them to begin with and eventually wear away, run out, or dry out.
I would pull the u-joints out/apart and put some grease in them.
