I just got some new toyo a/t 315/75/16's on my 2004 F350 4wd. All seems well except at 40 mph, the whole truck feels like its going over wavy pavement. When I look in the rear view mirror, it SEEMS like the back is bouncing more than the front. Is this just a balancing issue?
Can you see any signs of a small dot of paint on the sidewall anywhere on either tire? When I got my new tires I notice a small green dot on each tire. Tire store said it was to let the tech know where to mount the tire in relation to the metal valve stem. I guess the stem is just heavy enough to throw the balance out and no tire is perfectly balanced new so the manufacturer tries to counter balance the issue.
I'd take it back to the tire dealer, maybe there's a broken belt in one of the tires? Have them even take it for a ride so they can see for themselves.
