Do you have the fitting that screws into the fuel pressure test port on the secondary filter?
Was this recently purchased? The new kit has the fitting that screws into the fuel pressure test port and the sender screws into that.
I have installed one of these kits on my truck, and I've had nothing but problems with the fitting breaking and leaking (NOT GOOD) and the pressure readings fluctuating wildly!!! It does not work as advertised.
Others will chime in too!!
Having said that... I fixed mine.
I went with a hose that screws into the fuel pressure test port and bought another sender with a ground terminal to properly ground the sender. It works flawlessly now, but you'll have to invest another $70.00 or so to do this.
I think it is worth it to monitor the fuel pressure. Low fuel pressure will make your injectors fail. By having a reading you'll know something is wrong before you do damage.
Let me know what you want to do, and I'll post the links to the other products if you wish.
The big brown truck is supposed to drop off the commander/pillar mount/fuel kit and paint today so I'm not sure if it's the old or new kit. I have heard about the problems with the kit and a similar problem with the fuel pressure sensor. Also a problem with the ECT reading... Does your ECT read fine? What do you guys think of the relacement billet #2 fuel filter cap replacement with the fuel pressure/temp port built in? BTW AMJperformance has been great to work with!!!

My Commander is working flawlessly... I insured good connections at each tap as I installed it (very critical). The ECT is in line with what I would expect to see (see this post) I'm not using the fuel pressure sensor yet because I'm waiting for all you guys to beta-test the bugs out first
I live rural and just saw the brown truck on a trip onto town to get coffee..... now waiting very impatiently! It's sunny and in the 20's today so I think I'm going to have to freeze my buns off and go and install it! Too bad my Jeep and '79 F-350 are taking up room in the operating room err... I mean shop....Waiting... waiting..... waiting!

You could use that cap, that should work. My only concern is the fluctuating readings (it goes from 3PSI to 53PSI and back and forth constantly) due to the POS sender they send with the kit (It was grounded properly btw). The Coolant temperature is off by about 10* reading too hot. This reading will give you a good benchmark for future reference, so it is not that big of a deal for me. I actually use the Dodge vehicle selection to read the coolant temp which is more accurate. The boost reading with the Dodge Vehicle selection will be wacky though. I don't monitor boost, I use the factory gauge (I have a 2006 truck) because it is dead on anyway.
I opened it up.... The fuel pressure unit has an extention with a 90 deg elbow that screws into the test port. I guess that would make it a "new kit". Everything appears well packaged and organized. Again, AMJ Performance has been great to work with... They quoted me a great price and I bought it Monday afternoon and it arrived here before noon on Wed.... Thanks for all of you who recommended them to me!

Yes you do have the new kit.
Let us know how the "Fuel Pressure Kit" works for you.
I can help you fix it, if you need it (hopefully not!).
So, I didn't make it all that far installing the kit yesterday since the weather was in the teens. Tomorrow I'm going to work on the fuel sensor portion of the install. My instructions from quad on this install consisted of one page of text and one page of pictures. They covered the sensor install and connecting to the head unit but didn't address where to connect the connector with black red and white wires, nor the connector with the green wire, nore the connector with the brown wire.

Any suggestions??? Am I missing pages?
I think your missing a page. Only 1 of those wires goes to the fuel pressure sender. I think it is the Green wire. I'll go look in a couple of hours and let you know if it is DIFFERENT.
The other wires are not used in our application. (RPM, Injector Pressure, Boost (off an analog sender for future use)).
Alright... I just got done installing all the main kit. I don't like that they tap off the fuse box (fuse #45) so I think I'll change that to tap off my stereo. I imagine the 5 amp circuit should be plenty of juice. Thanks for the response Brad. The "new" setup with the adapter to the 90 deg elbow didn't work. The adapter would thread on a bit but wouldn't screw all the way down because the wrenching portion made it too large in diameter and it would binde on other portions of the filter... Difficult to explain... I'll call Quad and see if they have a fix. Right now I'm heading home... I have a few pictures that I took while installing if anyone needs them.
Well, I've got a call into Quadzilla tech about the fuel pressure sensor but the commander is working great!!! I used alot of dielectric grease on each of the connections and the readings appear accurate.

Glad you got most of it working. My wire to the sender (fuel pressure) was yellow. Keep us posted.
Well, I got in contact with Quad and the tech was friendly but not too helpful. It turned out that I wasn't missing a page... the instructions just don't cover hooking up to the injector pressure sensor or for RPM. Either my Fuel filter housing is different than the rest out there or their adapter for the test port will not screw in without modification. The whole sending unit setup was w bit hokey. I ended up grinding down part of the adapter and got it all together. The commander shows a pretty constant 50psig fluctuating down to 47psig when I get on it a bit. Does this sound about right? Where do you keep your alarm settings?
