Gear ratio

Hey Dave S. will you be kind enough to "fire up old Betsy" and plug in the following data? I would like to know what my diff gear ratio is.
E-40D tranny in OD
235/85R16 "sneakers"
2000 RPM @ 62 MPH
Thankyou Dave, appreciate it.
Tom

Not to pry, but he just ran mine and it was a 4.10, same tires, and my speed at 2000 rpm is right at 63mph. Do you like that banks turbo? What is your fuel milage after you installed it? I was wanting to put a higher gear in mine like a 3.55 to see where the fuel goes after I install it. Thanks

Most of the tire sizes I have in my computer are for mud tires which are usually a little larger diameter than all terrain or straight tread tires.

Using the 31.72" mud tire diameter (Bridgestone RMT), 2000 RPM with 4.10 gears and an E4OD in overdrive works out to 64.83 MPH.

I don't think I gained anything in mileage but the power difference was quite noticeable. The first thing I did after installing it was to "punch it" and that was a mistake. I tore out the middle universal joint in the drive shaft. I have since learned to push the pedal slowly. The biggest improvement was towing my 27.6 5th wheel trailer in the Rockies at 9600 ft. When it was NA it WOULD NOT climb the hill. Now it is no problem. I get usually 18 mpg empty Hwy (under 70 mph) and 14-15 empty city. As soon as I hook on the trailer, I get 10 MPG no matter what. I'm happy with the power though.

Here I thought all along I had 3.55 gears. Guess I better change my sig.

Those were some interesting comments concerning increasing the air intake to our engines.(Leak in CDR post) I thought you would have some comment to make concerning the statement about increasing intake makes no difference with a turbo. I thought it did I believe turbo or not, if you can help the air get in the engine, you are that much ahead. You run an ATS turbo and we both built the same ram air setup (I copied you) That was also an interesting statement concerning the installation of a K&N filter and how it reacts with the CDR valve. I would like to hear more on that subject as I have a K&N on my rig. Any further input from anyone would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou for the info Dave.

The results I see with a ram air to my turbo are a bit different than everyone else here will have.

Remember mine is not exactly stock.
Milled pistons, head studs, modified IP, modified injectors, modified turbo and I am running 2 or 3 times the boost most of the IDI engines see.

I have a bit more time now, I may have time to respond to that other post.
I had to leave when I was on a while ago.

Do you think I need to be concerned with ram air and my Banks Turbo? I use a slight amount of oil when I pull on the hwy but nothing to get excited about. I just don't want to be burning excess amounts and stretch my head bolts.

If it were me, I would run it.

Just keep an eye on oil leaks.
From my experience a low restriction intake does not take as much out of the crank case through the CDR.
So slight increase in crank case pressure may cause something like the rocker covers to leak.
Since it is sucking less out of the crankcase, the oil most likely won't be going into the intake.

2520 RPM should be 90 MPH with 4.10 gears and an E4OD on 35" rubber.
3300 RPM should top you out at 118 MPH.

The 35" rubber is where the speed is coming from.

With 235/85-16 tires you would be looking at 81 MPH at 2520 RPM.
And it would top out at 106 at 3300.

The overdrive ratio in an E4OD is .71.
