I ordered a ferrets I am glad to hear it works great. Do you have any tips on timing
IT's really pretty simple, hook the pulse adapter to #1 or 4 inector line, hook your advance timing light induction clamp to the loop on the Ferret. turn it on. Fire up the engine and check for pulse ( se that the light flashes when you pull the trigger. ) Shut it off, take some white out, paint pen etc and fill in the groove on the balancer so you can see it easier. Take a good look at the timing marks on the plate with the 2 holes in it, one of them has 0 next to it, that's the one you line up on. Set the advance timing light for 8.5 deg btdc, fire it up set the parking brakes and block it and have a helper bring the rpms up to 2000 and hold it there. Check with the timing light, if it's off, turn the engin off loosen the pump bolts and adjust accordingly, my brain's not engauged yet today, lets see, advance toward the passenger side, retard toward the driver. You may need to loosen the injection lines on the back of the pump to turn it far enough, a 12 point 5/8 crowsfoot flarenut wrench comes in real handy here, and if you don't already have one, you may need to grind down a 9/16 to reach the pump bolts or spend the $85 with the snap on guy for the factory pump wrench.
Don't force the pump to turn too far without loosening the lines, or you'll crack a line. There's a little play allowed, but not a whole lot.
All in all fairly easy process, My 10 year old and I did mine in an hour.
