Me vs. 1993 Lightning
So this might sound like a stupid question btu here it goes.
Im not much of a racer but theres someone that wants tto race me ad he wont shut up. He has a 1993 lightning. So obviously its a 351 vs a 302.
Theres some factors against me and some to my advantage. I have more weight over my rear wheels cause i have a fiberglass beg and a tool box, thats about it for advantage is weight.
To my disadvantage i have a 302, which has 181k on it. Dunno his mileage but he obviously has a 351, grant it mine has the same firing order etc as his cause mines 1994-Up 302, he still has more cubes...
think i should try it? or will i be uteerly embarrased? even if i lose by a lrngth thats ok, but i dont wanna be blown away

Yea I wouldnt race. Thats like a stock civic vs mustang gt. The Lightining is ment to go fast, as weight the more you have the slower. Lightinings have wider tires so they still hook up. If you got 181K i wouldnt chance beating on ur engine unless you know she will hold together lol.

Snow that would be like racing my stang in the snow. I cant move out my garage with like a few inches. 275's dont help either lol. If i have the stock wheels on it will be ok but skechy lol.

You should have seen this 1 time. I had just got my Mus back from body shop. Drugged up lady ran into me. Well my buddy had a 00 GT. He was converting some of the parts 2 the 02 style, stick out hood scoop and side scoops. Well we were going to pick up the side scoops at dunkin doughnuts like 30 min away. I was in my stang with 3 other people, and he was with 1 kid. Well on a back road that was all ice and snow, there was a hill. He decided to stop at the top and I stopped on the hill and slid back down it. The other kid got out and slipped on the ice and slid down the hill. So I was like why did you stop at the top, I could have made it up. Well he moved and I went for a go. Couldnt get up, backed up further and went again, nothing. So everyone had to push me up. That sucked so bad. Back to truck. Yea I wouldnt race. If you have a feel for your truck, go for a ride in his. If it feels faster dont do it lol. But If you want to go for it.

lol i know his is faster, around here.. well on the Lyn Marsh Road anyways, its really who has the ***** to stay on the gas, cops LITTER the road sometimes and they nab people for racing all the time, people ***** out all the time lol its quite funny to see

i CANT get pulled over or else im SCREWEDDDDD... any licenced driver under 18 in MA caught speeding loses there licence for 90 days. $500 reinstatement fee and you have to take a drivers couse and retake the road test, so i drive normal and i never have t worry
