Thats somthing i would do, My Clone Vs A totaly stock Gen 1 i would lose but it would look Cool
thats what i want to do too! lol you really dont see a FlareSide racing lol. And in my area, u never see me goin fast, and EVERYONE knows my truck (hard to miss a calypso green truck) so id get caught pretty easy
Don't do it Nextras, besides the fact you'll get your *** absolutely spanked, it's not worth risking your license over and putting other drivers and pedestrians in danger. If this were at a track then I'd say go for it.. it would be a good learing experience, but please keep the racing off the street. In Ontario if you get caught street racing now it's a $5000 fine and you loose the vehicle, the police and public are fed up and not making any exceptions.

if you think he won't shut up now, wait until you lose to him.
that didnt require your .02 lol, im not saying id win. Im shuttin him up. Its fun to tell people about there trucks wen they think there the ****. I most definetly know more about his truck than he does lol... He knows its a ford and knows it has a 5.8L and that its pretty quick, thats about it.
There is no comparison between a stock standard horsepower 351 and stock 302 in a F150 of similiar weight and transmission. The Lightning 351/240 horse would be devastating. Plus your 3.55 to his 4.10 would also be a disadvantage also.
I would bet that your pretty green F150 short box looks better than his Lightning though!!

Well--I have driven both the 351/BASE and 302 in the F150 and one wouldnt think that there would be that much difference in acceleration--but the torque makes the difference. I am basing my opinion not just on figures--but actual driving.
Some factory horsepower figures are inflated. For example. The 96 Corbra 4.6/4 valve is rated at 305 horsepower. But all of the quarter mile figures I have seen are the same or very close to the 4.6/2 valve 260 horse Mustang GT--14 second @ 100 MPH. Same power train and final drive ratio and weight of vehicle.
I suspect that the base/351 truck engine is underated if anything in horsepower. The perception of actually driving a 351 in a F150 makes one think that there must be more than 200/210 net horsepower and 300 footpounds of torque .

Eh why race him? Its a truck and well trucks in general arn't meant to race! Why dont you challenge him to a truck pull or something? Hook both trucks up and do a tug of war! lol
