Yesterday, I was looking at pictures of some new trucks we are getting. In the file, there were several other pictures of trucks and equipment at a job site for one of our sister companies. Looked as if a bomb had exploded. One truck was flipped over with nothing left but the frame and axles. One was flipped on its side, and another was pretty much missing a cab, and the hood was in pieces about 20 ft away. And then a dozer on its side in a hole with the excavator on top of it at an angle. I asked my boss what the deal was. Apparently, a disgruntled ex employee had a little fun one night and took it out on the equipment.
Yeah, not much will stop them. We bought a John Deere 350D at the first of the season last year. It makes a big difference to have the right machine for the job. I don't get to run it much, other than to drive it on the lowboy. But I have dug a few holes pretending that I knew what I was doing.
