hub leak rim

I had taken my f150 94 4x4 5.0 auto trans
I had get my both front rotors changed at shop
week ago I seen grease on 1 of my outside rim
took it back they just tighten the screws on cap where you lock or free 4x4
now other day grease back on rim
it looks like the used a screwdriver bent hub where hub stick out not on cap
grease was black I could run my finger around hub . with tire on
they wont it
will I have replace hub ? or can I get by with new seal ?
I guess where they used screwdriver they bent hub up a little
not big . cap ok.

The o-ring on the hub is probably shot. It seals the OD of the lockout to the ID of the steel hub. Mine were leaking. I pulled my lockouts (5 allen bolts), cleaned them up, ran a thin bead of silicone around the circumference (between the small lip & the o-ring groove), let it dry overnight, and reinstalled the lockouts in the morning. I had the silicone in the tool box so this cost me just some time, and hasn't leaked any grease since. It sounds like tracking down the correct o-ring isn't a fun time, and so this was a no-brainer.

As for the bent hub, pictures would be helpful. Probably not a big deal as far as driveability, but man that's got to be frustrating to have a shop butcher work that you pay for. Not sure I'd let that go...

Ford factory hubs are warn hubs. If you can see the screw in the middle of the red hub lock you are missing the sticker. The sticker would have said Ford on it. When you buy them directly from warn the sticker will say warn.
