That's funny. Our local county courthouse only takes money orders or cash--no credit or debit cards, nor checks. I also run into a lot of people locally who always cash their paychecks in full and pay all their bills with cash--so poor they don't have a pot to pee in, but they always have a wad of cash in their pocket. I rarely take out more than $20 in cash, and often I'll go weeks with a dollar or two in my wallet.
