eh Id rather be cutting wood, we got a firewood ministry at church and we all met at 8 to cut this morning. One of the guys said his wife dragged him to walmart a few hours earlier and there was so many people you couldnt push a cart around in there. not for me
I saved a ton of money today, I didn't even go to the sales! Don't need to look for stuff to buy just because it is a little cheaper.
I never buy anything unless I have the money. I have three credit cards, but basically use one and pay them all off every month. I don't like spending money I don't have. I don't like the feeling that I am in debt to someone else.
I had to work today but I heard all my coworkers laments about spouses or significant others geting up at gawd awful hours to hit the stores. I don't shop, there are two little words that get you a thanks and a gurenteed never returned gift. "Gift Card/ Gift Certificate." You can't go wrong with it, just know your recipiants likes and your good to go.
Home Depot had some pretty good deals for this weekend. They have the Ryobi 18v 1/2" drill w/ light for $29.97. Not a drill for contractors and I personally avoid Ryobi but am forced to use them at work. It's a good drill for average home owner use. They also have a fantastic deal on the Ridgid Wet/Dry vaccums. Regular $69.97 they had them on sale for $24.97. Set of 2-way radios with a 3 mile range for $9.99.
I looked at the Sears ad but everything was the regular holiday prices. I didn't see anything that overly impressive.
Oh and I noticed that a lot of these stores are running out of items quickly. Looked it up on the internet and the stores have the same sale prices there, usually once you spend like $50.00 on their website you get free shipping.
I only have 1 credit card and it ALWAYS gets paid in full every month. If I can't afford to pay for whatever it is at the end of the month, then I either can't afford it or don't need it. I'll only go to a sale if it's a really good deal. Like 50-60% off. I won't fight the crowds for 5 or 10%, and I won't wait in line for ANYTHING for more than a few minutes. It's not worth it to me.
what they do, is jack up prices before the sale, and then give 40% off on everything. and then the people think they are getting GREAT deals when in reality they are only getting 5-10% off.
