thanks for all the help, cuz its a runnin and its runnin good. wont go over 190 degrees, got 40 psi oil at idle, idles at 700 rpm, have the timing set at 15 degrees initial right now, may change that when it goes in

engine test stand pics.....
didnt have any problems with the pushrods and rockers that i am aware of. they looked like they had decent clearance while i was turnin it by hand while buildin it and i did the old mechanics stethoscope(read, screwdriver with blade to the valve cover other end on ear) and everything was just a whirrin away, no clicks, ticks, knocks, nothin. used harland sharp 1.73:1 with stock length hardened pushrods from ford.
