Fuel Pump Etiquette

What is it with people these days?? The ones that don't have diesels are killing me. Around where I live it's a PITA every time I go to fill up. I've been yelled at for taking too long. Honked at for having to fill two tanks. It's insane!!

The latest and greatest happened on the way back from Sout Carolina in Starke FL. It's raining, pull into Wally world there are 3 islands completely opened except, yea you guessed it, for the two diesel pumps which have two cars parked at it. Now after sitting in line for 5 min behind one I then noticed they weren't even pumping gas. Then I notice the one on the other side she gets back in her car. So I move to the other side figuring she's gonna move soon. HAHA ... well she get's in her car ( never got gas ), proceeds to take off her coat, ok I'm cool with that, cranks up the car, coool ok, then begins brushing her hair for several minutes, totally not cool. I mean she's doing a full on perm or something. My dad can't believe this .. I tell him, it's every dang time I fill up. She still isn't moving out of the way to let others use the pump. Another girl gets in the car, I'm like ok she's gonna move. We're like at a total of 15 min now sitting at these pumps waiting patiently for my turn. She don't move ... she starts jack'n with her dang GPS on the dash trying to find a route. I've had it so a blast the horn a little, nothing ... doesn't even notice ( this is a blonde so insert jokes here ) Finally my dad's had it .. .he gets out and raps on her window. " Hey you mind moving up some so others can actually get fuel here?? " She looks at him like you got to be kidding. She then moved up about 6 feet. I still can't reach the tank with the hose. So I rap the horn a little bit more. She FINALLY gets the hint that she can program her GPS, brush her hair, eat her candy or whatever in the parking lot just like at the pump. The funny thing about the whole thing was the two cars never got gas they just parked at the diesel pumps ( the ones farthest away from the store I might add ) just so they could go in and get chips, drinks, ect .... RETARDS. I swear this type a crap happens ever time I fill up.

Do the rest of you have these kind a experiences ?? Or is it just I have bad luck?? Just wanted to vent a little, sorry for the long post.

P.S. ... If anyone knows a blonde girl that drives a new silver Honda Civic from South Carolina that was in Starke Fl Saturday around 4:30-5pm. Tell her sorry but get some common sense.

Signs are a waste of time when most cannot read!

every time i go to fill up there is some car using the pump next to the diesel pump and i wind up having to wait forever. for some reason people always pull in front of diesel when there are at least ten other pumps.

Same here at the Chevron I use. It's 0.7 miles from the pumps to my driveway. Anyway...there are two diesel islands (four pumps total) and I'm disabled.

Seems like every time I need to fill up, there is some kid(s) needing to fill up their car and a jug. Had two boys the other day fill their car and a 5-gallon jug. Unfortunately, this process took about 12 minutes using, you guessed it, the diesel pump I use regularly (for MPG calculation) AND they managed to put about SEVEN gallons into the FIVE-gallon jug.

My wife made me leave my shoes in the garage over the weekend because they smelled like gas.

I often fuel at a Safeway station that usually has the lowest diesel price around. There are often 3 or more trucks in line behind each of their only two diesel pumps. It just blows my mind when a car pulls up to one of the pumps to get gasoline (they had both gas and diesel on one pump) when there is a long line of diesel trucks waiting for the only two pumps. Hey bozo, they have 10 gasoline only pumps, go over there!

I really appreciated it when they pulled the gasoline nozzles off the diesel pumps so these bozos couldn't do that anymore. Other truck owners are more understanding that it takes a while to take on 30 to 40 gallons of fuel.
