EBP valve

Where can you unplug the Exhaust back pressure valve. Supposed to be a 2 wire connector under the inlet of the turbo (I haven't looked yet). If unplugged will this disable the valve and more importantly do anything which might harm the engine. On extreme cold morning you get a pronounced hiss and loss of power until motor is warmed up. this is annoying. thanks

The EBPV connection only operates the valve. No effect on engine performance of any kind.

Unplug it and forget it. It's cold here too, but this is also on my "To Do" list.

I gutted my EGBV. I did not notice a differance in how fast it takes to warms up. Still gets nice and toasty in the cab.

Where exactly Is the location of this connector which needs unplugging? Someone told me under the turbo inlet. Is that right? Thanks

Yes. Just a little forward of the inlet.
