holy cow guts Batman, the Cheeto has invaded Jakes mind, he just finished Jakes post for him. "thats all" Dont worry Jake we will come and exorcise that deviant from your mind, it will be okay. just stay calm and have fun drywalling while you wait. hahahaha!! Dan
its funny but there is alot of truth to that sanding comment... i learned to mud from an italian fellow who did plaster work and ive learned alot from watching him and doing it.. now im really good at it and im doing alot of restoration on old plaster
You must use good clean plaster, the proper tools, and don't sand. buy some clean sponges and get a 5 gallon bucket of clean water. After the plaster is layed smoothly 3 coats, you can do the final touch up anytime with a large flat sponge.
If corners are your problem you have the wrong knife,, buy A good pro knife (no expense spared)
I understand your frustration, been there done that. It is an art form, nailing a square piece of drywall to plumb studs is easy, but filling the cracks takes good skill and practice practice practice.
