water / methanol
well im really thinkin about the water/methanol injection for my 97 but im also thinkin really hard about building it. So what do you guys think? Is it possible to build the injection system for it i mean it only mounts into the intake.

No I don't believe it would be beneficial to build your own system. You need high pressure and low volume with the correct nozzles. If you get it wrong even once you will hydro lock your engine and you will be looking for a new engine! Spend the $500 and buy a ready built kit. And I will also add if you looking for it to control temps during long towing trips you need to look into an intercooler first.

Not to high jack this thread but I seem to recall, way back when (That's a long time ago) there was instrument, gadget that was mounted on top of and in the front of the radiator that had several nozzels pointing down. There was a water resevoir and a pump simular to a windshield washer pump.
When temp's were a raising a flip of the switch would spray water over the front of the radiator and bring the temps down.
Any of you older guys recall this??

I have heard of such a thing. Some use NO2 to cool the IC as well. Much more expenseive that way though!! maybe this summer I will rig up the Windshield washer pump to spray the IC down the highway and see if it makes any difference!

Ok thanks guys, one other question about the intercooler this time. What is the cheapest but best way to go and where should i get one and for about how much. I knw thats all jumbled in there together. lol
