Went to open the tailgate the other day and the handle lifts and unlatches the passenger side but not the drivers side. It has a drop in bed liner which has a cover over the inside of the tailgate. Is there a panel on the inside of the tailgate that I can take off to access the rods that release the latches. If there is apprx where is it located? Best I can tell I'm gonna have to cut the bedliner cover on the tailgate to get at it as it is screwed on and seceral of the screws are inaccessible without the tailgate down.
I wolud appreciate any help !!! Thanks Guys

You have one other option too. Use a sawz-all (or hacksaw if you're patient); slip it between the driver's slide latch that isn't unlatching and the stud inside the tailgate jamb. Then, you can get the tailgate open...and remove the bedliner panel. You can access the rods inside; but it's more likely the latch that's gotten jambed.
If the rod slipped off of the handle you won't have to have the tailgate open to fix it. You just need to get the rod back in the handle. You will probably need a new bushing though.
