Or just take it all the way out and flush it with warm water inside your house lol. Again to cold to be sitting out side for a long period of time, as well as doing anything with water or a hose thats connected to an outside fauset.

I will probably pull it out and repalce the heater hoses, they look a little weathered, I'll wash the core out in the utility sink. I'll keep you all posted as to how things go.

When you take the cover off the heater core, before you pull it just check the blend door. If it is stuck just a little bit open,-40 would really knock the output temp of the heater, especially while you are driving.
