Ok...I have a perplexed situation here. I was out in the garage looking and identifying the parts to my 429. The connecting rods are D0OE, the block is D1VE but when I was reading about the crankshaft and how to ID it this is what it said: "All 429/460 cast iron crankshafts have a '4U' or '4UA' identifier stamped in the couterweight as shown. Cobra Jet and Super Cobra Jet cranks were Brinell tested and are marked as such. be cautious of the fakes which have a bogus Brinell-test mark." Ok, now...my questions are....What is a Brinell-test mark and what does it look like. Secondly...I found the ID mark on my crank but it reads "4UAB" not "4U" or "4UA" like the book said. What does the "B" stand for? Is this the Brinell-test mark they were talking about??? I'm confused now as to what this crankshaft really is Is it a plain 429 crank or a CJ version or is this a hybrid of sorts???? Any info would be GREATLY appreciated.

The rods are the same.
the top of the rod bolts are different.
CJ/SCJ bolts heads are Football shaped.
Don't worry about the U-AB .
The AB is a change-up number.
