I love free stuff

My friend just gave me an in line coolant heater its older but works fine ,I just tested it ,thing is I need to know which way it is supposed to push the coolant? it flows only one way, any one have one of these

Isn't there an arrow stamped on it indicating fluid direction? Anything like "inlet" or "outlet" or something like that?

I haven't seen a coolant heater. Does the power for it tie into the block heater or is it powered separately?

Thanks I know what is in and out on the pump I was just wondering if it mattered which way it flows on the truck towards the rad or towards the heater core

It has it's own cord

we put one of those bottle heaters on a tractor. i'll look tommorrow and see.

I might have been thinking about something else. I thought he was talking about the heaters that run off of diesel fuel and heat the coolant without running the engine. Gives you heat in the cab without the engine being warmed up.

I think you are talking about a wybesto heater,we have one on one of our nodwell,s at work this is just an electric heater/circulating pump

The heater hoses flow from the passenger head to heater core then back to the water pump.
